Picket Piece 2008.

Picket Piece, Andover 2008 shall be remembered for being COLD; well not just the show, the entire Easter break. Our cars are facing north looking down the hill together with north west winds blowing hail and sleet in, not good.

With Easter being so early this year meant that some of the members cars were not taxed and could not attend so we only had a turn out of 5 cars; from left to right, Jeff, Graeme, Olly, Mike and Roly. All cars behaved themselves with the exception of the Fiesta, who, once parked up refused to restart when the need required it to move and so had to be pushed into place with the help of passers by, how embarrasing for an old girl.

This show is an interesting one due mainly to the range of vehicles on show and continues to get bigger each year, I suppose there were around 500 - 600 vehicles constantly on show and easily another 1000 turning up on a casual basis throughout the day, they ranged from cars from most ages; UK and US, fire engines, motobikes, scooters, steam engines, an autojumble and trade stands.

All in all a good kick start to the season.
