This show is one of our favourites and is tagged on to the National Carriage Championship
held in the Windsor Great Park; just a short amble from the 'Long Walk'to Windsor Castle, so as can
be expected is in a great location. The sun had been out for most of the week so the grass (and mud)
was quite good.
The Basingstoke crowd met at the Down Grange at 08:00 for an early off as we had to follow that slow old
Fiesta down the motoway, the weather was just a typical September morning with a misty cold start leading to a
great sunny day. Roly was runing a little late so there was a small wait before the M3 while he joined us, from there is was
a convoy to meet the others at the great park.
The club turnout was good as it is likely to be the last show of the year and the weather is
usually very good for this one, Alan brought his gazebo again to shelter from the sun.
Turnout from left to right is Olly, Mike, Alan N, Alan P, Ray, Gazebo, Roly and Graeme
This has all types of cars on show making it an interesting one, from vintage right through to modern
, an autojumble and not forgetting the horses of course
