The Simply Ford show was a new one for everybody this year which started with just three of us leaving Wokingham/Bracknell just after 7.00am. The awful weather definitely played a part in the poor turnout!
Order of the day was dry, drizzle, wet which meant only about 60 cars early on, filling up to approximately 160 by lunchtime. A good selection of classics with only a modest selection of plastic. A solitary auto jumble stand was disappointing.

On display was a nice 2.8i TT in blue, a rare 3.0 Mk1 Capri in Aubergine (with an old style IOW plate; DL), a genuine 29,000 miles silver fox Mk1 Capri and the Yellow 3.0 Essex Cortina (as seen at Bearwood last week) which it turns out is owned by a local, here in Wokingham!
A seriously air conditioned Fiesta Zetec with not much more than an engine and drivers seat and a modified MK4 Cortina which doesn't need a jack to change a wheel just a tweak on the Hydraulics were quite a novelty!.
When the rain came down we all took cover in either the Museum or the new 'Top Gear World' experience which was pretty good.
Finally, 21 cars were chosen for the £100 cash prize/ "Pride of Ownership" trophy of which our very own Gold Wheeler Andy's 280 was selected. The Silver Fox Mk 1 was also chosen but Sadly for them both the award went to a rather nice Escort Mexico.
In summary then, not a bad show but would be great with sunshine which has already been ordered for next year!

And finally,
Jeff arrived but there was something a little strange about his car today.........Hmmmm! We have now taught him how to put his fog light covers on the correct way up!.
