HOME / EVENTS / 2012 EVENTS & SHOW REPORTS / EGHAM ROYAL CLASSIC CAR SHOW

Egham Royal Classic Car Show.

Off to the Egham Royal Show 2012 meeting up at the Wheatsheaf in Virginia Water with 6 club cars. Sharon’s 280, Phil’s 3.0 Ghia, Jayne and Jim’s brace of MkIs, Alec and Brigitte’s 2.8i and John and Sarah’s Anglebox. The show ground was no where near as gungy as it could have been considering the torrential rain less than 24 hours before.

First job for John was to secure his dangling exhaust pipe with some wire.

Up went the gazebo which also required a few running repairs. Despite the previous day’s rain Sharon had bravely brought her 280 along. Several dark clouds crossed during the day but it remained dry. Sharon therefore decided to maintain her engine with a blue feather duster!

There were plenty of nice cars at the show. In particular this Mk I Transit camper van was in excellent order and still in use as a camper

And so to the tricky decision about which car at the show I would like to be run over by, well it could have been the 1940 Ford Coupe, maybe the Mustang, possibly the T Bird but in the end this immaculate Austin Six has to be the one.
